WHAT TESTS DO WE OFFER?

Depending on the area of application of the disinfectant, we offer testing according to standards.

Preliminary examination

PN-EN 1040 (bactericidal effect),
PN-EN 1275 (fungicide).

The test determines whether the disinfectant has biocidal properties, but does not determine the concentration in use.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Each chemical disinfectant or antiseptic requires tests that confirm the declared biocidal properties. The test is necessary when registering the agent as a biocidal product in the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products.

Bactericidal and fungicidal properties of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics are assessed according to standards developed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) introduced by PKN as Polish Standards.

OUR CERTIFICATES

Mikrolab has a research laboratory accreditation certificate issued by the Polish Center for Accreditation, accreditation number AB 1531

Mikrolab has a GMP Certificate approved by the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector.

Mikrolab has been approved by the State Sanitary Inspection for water testing. The test results are honored by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Stations.

WHY SHOULD DISINFECTANTS BE TESTED?

Before registering the product with the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products (URPL), the manufacturer of disinfectants is obliged to perform tests confirming the biocidal effectiveness of the disinfectant for compliance with applicable standards. Only such products may be authorized and included in the list of authorized biocidal products.

However, the user of the product is recommended to test the disinfectants used in order to confirm that the preparation is effective in its production conditions.

Thanks to such tests, you can check whether:

products used in cleaning and disinfection procedures have a biocidal effect on environmental strains,
concentration of use solutions and contact time are appropriate,
the storage period of the use solutions affects the activity of the preparation.

Conducting such tests will give us a basis for assessing the correctness of the disinfection procedures used in the production environment, and thus help prevent possible product contamination.

The effectiveness of disinfectants is checked by conducting tests in the laboratory, which makes it possible to ensure comparable and repeatable test conditions. Certified strains from recognized and proven collections, characteristic for a given area of application, are used in the tests.
